 CaryMoms.com Top Pick of the Week.......

This week my 3 year old experienced his first visit to the dentist.  To truly understand my son the term strong willed is an understatement. When told that today he was going to the dentist his reaction was, "The dentist is for girls."  Needless to say, I actually brought my mother for backup.  Upon entering the doctor’s office, my son was taken in by the flat screens and toys or should I say distracted.  His immediate thought-humm this may be fun after all.  We were then brought into the most adorable dentist wonderland filled with little chairs and Disney movies playing.  My son had no problem laying down and having his little teeth cleaned.  The dentist assistant provided sunglasses and plenty of loving words and reassurance.   This was becoming quite an impressive experience.  Now it was time for the doctor to come over.  He checked out my sons teeth with detail and care.  He than spent 15 minutes talking to me about my son and how to take good care of his teeth.  I actually felt bad that I was taking up so much of this man’s time but he didn’t seem to mind in fact he seemed very patient and passionate..  My mom bent over in my ear and asked,” How much is this visit going to cost you?" That didn’t matter to me-this was right up there to a visit to Disneyland.  My son's first experience with the dentist was one of fun and care.  Dr Brooks you’re awesome and you’re this weeks CaryMoms .com pick of the week.

Tinsel Town... a magical winter wonderland complete with beautifully decorated trees, weekend visits with Santa, holiday music, tasty treats, and an outdoor ice skating rink! Families will have the opportunity to skate on the ice rink, visit with Santa, sip on hot cocoa, munch on holiday treats that include soup bread bowls from Great Harvest Bread, and meander through decorated holiday trees!

Tinsel Town will be open daily (beginning on November 23rd) until December 31st, with the exception of Christmas Day.
