Nesting for Peace: Creation Session for Peace
Children accompanied by an adult
Adults unaccompanied by children are welcome, too!
Nesting for Peace, the brainchild of Karin Baumeister-Rehm, a well-known
artist living in Apex, uses the power of art to bring messages of peace to
the world. Participants will receive a birdhouse, which they will decorate
(supplies provided), and the end result is an individual work of art.
The birdhouses will carry a message of peace inside, and will be hung in a
public location. To date the birdhouses have been hung in Apex, and Ms.
Baumeister-Rehm's goal is to have birdhouses hung throughout the world.
Participants are asked to contribute $10 per birdhouse to defray the
cost of the house and supplies, and to pre-register and pre-pay by April 29th
(so supplies can be ordered). Participants can pre-order two houses - one for
home, and one for the public installation.
More information about the project can be found at www.nestingforpeace.com. The creation session will be hosted at:
Planet Child, 305A Ashville Avenue in Cary, 233 0090.
